You
are invited to join Larry Gagnon, a Project Management
Professional (PMP) share his story of fulfilling a dream
17 years in the making. Listen and learn as Larry applies
project management practices to participate in the Hawaiian
Ironman World Triathlon Championship!
Training
for the most challenging and extreme athletic event in the
world is a rigorous and extremely demanding,
“project”. Larry balanced the realities of work,
family and training with project management skills to take
on this “Iron Project”.
Larry
will share inspiring details of his quest framed by the
familiar and well known phases of project management. From
his decision to pursue his dream and acceptance by all
affected “stakeholders” - Initiation,
through the diligent effort he applied to preparing for
the rigors of training and competition - Planning,
to the challenges and obstacles of daily training - Execution,
to tracking his progress - Monitoring and
Control and finally crossing the famous finish
line on Alii Drive on the big island of Hawaii - Closing.
Presentation
accompanied by a magnificent slide production that will
inspire everyone to take on their own “Iron Projects”.
